Pipe Gripper Plugs
Cherne's Gripper plugs can be used in a variety of applications including DWV (drain, waste and vent) testing and
stack testing. End-of-Pipe design won't fall in, whereas the Inside-of-Pipe design allows you to locate the plug
inside the pipe as far as you need. Time tested, the Gripper® remains one of the most popular mechanical plugs on
the market.

Sizes & Specifications
Mechanical plugs do not use air pressure resulting in a more secure seal. They are made of heavy duty,
corrosion resistant aluminum plates to ensure a long life. The neoprene O-ring provides chemical resistance to
petroleum hydrocarbons.
T-Handle Gripper Mechanical Plugs
One of the major benefits of T-Handle Gripper Mechanical plugs over pneumatic plugs is the fact that these
mechanical plugs can be used in long term applications, unlike pneumatic plugs which can lose air pressure over time.
T-Handle Aluminum Gripper® Plug Features:

- 6" - 12" plugs are sized for concrete, clay, and SDR 26 and 35 pipe
