Premium sewer rods are treated with an outer coating which is an acid resistant, heat fused, blue metallic coating and the couplings are zinc plated and baked to prevent hydrogen embrittlement.
Slightly less hard "Silver" rods are available for a bit more flexibility when needed.
Quick Couplers:
All 5/16" rods are available with quick connect/disconnect spring loaded pin couplings.
Adapter Rods:
Lengths of 8" and 4" Super Short.
Available in 3/8" & 5/16"
Bar turning handle: a good auxiliary turning handle for light turning such as relieving a tool caught slightly on a rough coupling and making up or knocking down couplings.
Pull out tool: used for pushing the rod into the line or by reversing the handle, the operator can use it for pulling out.
Pull out and twisting handle: when working in close quarters, this tool allows the operator to turn, push or pull. The coupling is locked with a pin.
Assembly wrench: used for making up and knocking down couplings. Slip the tool over the rod onto the hex nut of the coupling and insert the male end of the bar turning handle into the hole on the coupling before trying to engage the elbow of the rod into the coupling. With the elbow free in the small hole in the coupling, the nut can be started by hand and tightened down with the assembly tool.
Assembly turning handle: use to hold the coupling while tightening the nut with the assembly tool. Also use for safely turning the rod line to dislodge a "stuck" cleaning tool
The first tool used in breaking up bottles and punching holes in cans.
Also good for small pipes with hard deposits.
Used to retrieve a string of rods that may have become stuck in the line. The wide hook will contact the rod and with a few turns will wind the rod to the center of the tool. A pull hooks the tool against the coupling.
Swivel design relieves cable twist when pulling cable through the sewer line for bucket machines, etc
Blade design keeps the tool and string of rods on top of the sand for easier rodding. Recommended for when you are rodding a sanded line to bring back a bucket machine cable. Cable easily attaches to hole near the point of the blade.
This is your standard No. 5 Hex coupling Plumbers rod. These have been used for more than 60 years. They are silver coated and are made of the finest spring steel for long life and flexibility.
They are also called "lateral" cleaning rods as they are great to clean lines from the house to the street. A plumber or homeowner will benefit greatly from having these rods and keeping them in the garage on the truck. These are the quickest, most economical and easiest way to unblock your sewer lines. Great in lines from 2" to 6". Please check out the additional cleaning tools and accessories in the no. 5 line that include all the coiled spring tools for increased flexibility and torque.
Also available are the sets that include rods, tools and a carrying reel for lines up to 120 feet long! (20 rods can clean 120 feet.)
Allows you to keep a long distance of rods coupled up and ready to pay off to clean your lateral lines.
Coiled Spring Wire Corkscrews for 2" or 4" pipe.
Corkscrews are 12" long and made of 1/4" spring steel. They have a very flexible coiled design that gives them great flexibility around bends and sweeps. They connect right up to your no. 5 rods with hex couplings and are an nice starting and cleaning tool. The front angular point bores through stoppages like grease and paper products and will grab and hold roots, rags and such while pulling them back to the clean out.
3" Coiled Spring Round Wire Double Corkscrew.
12" long and made of 1/4" spring steel.
They have a very flexible coiled design that gives them great flexibility around bends and sweeps. They connect right up to your no. 5 rods with hex couplings and is an outstanding aggressive cleaning tool.
The front angular dual points bore through stoppages like grease and paper products and will grab and hold roots, rags and such while pulling them back to the clean out.
The flat spiral steel blade features sharp cutting edges on both the front and the back edges to cut and slice in both direction.
The sharp front angles point will bore through obstructions and stoppages and the tapered cone-like shape for the tool holds roots, paper and rags tightly while pulling them back to the manhole.
Spade blade root cutters shear off tap roots are always great for turning over sand and agitating hard packed dirt and mud and grease. Gets the flow going.
These come in sizes from 2", 3" and 4" pipe size and are for your no. 5 Plumbers rods.
The hardened steel sharp cutting edges on the spear point are great boring through obstructions and stoppages of grease or rust.
This 2" spear point is connected to a tight wound coiled rod that is great for going around bends are sweeps.
Connects to your no. 5 lateral plumbing rods.
Here is the no. 5 Pick-up tool that connect to your no. 5 rods in case of rod breakage.
Just attach to your last rod and insert into line. Keep turning the rods until the sharp ends pick up the rod and grabs it. As the OD of the coiled closes it will grab onto the sewer coupling and you will be able to pull them out of the line.
With a coiled pig tail it will go around bends and sweeps.
This assembly tool is for the assembly and disassembly of rod nuts into and out of the no. 5 couplings.
The tools' hard socket fits the nut heads and can be use on both of the nuts.
The handle is designed to fit the center hole of the coupling of the rods so actually buying 2 gives you the best set up to do the job.
This tool is specially made with a hex center to not only grab the hex coupling of the No. 5 so you can really torque turn them the rods, but also slides over the coupling to allow you to push and pull the rods into the lateral sewer line.
This electric drill adapter allows you to turn the rods via your drill motor. The end will fit into the Jacobs chuck on 3/8" drills and larger.
This is your standard round coupling Plumbers rod. They are made of the finest spring steel and induction tempered for long life and flexibility. They are 1/4" in diameter and 6 feet long.
They are also called "lateral" cleaning rods as they are great to clean lines from the house to the street. A plumber or homeowner will benefit greatly from having these rods and keeping them in the garage on the truck. These are the quickest, most economical and easiest way to unblock your sewer lines.
This is a Pick-up tool that connects to your 1/4" PB-1 Lateral cleaning rods.
This comes standard in the "B" set but can be purchased separately too.
If you break a rod in the line you can attach this tool to the last rod in a string and go into the line to grab it. The sharp point rotates and catches the last rod in the line and then it will tighten around the coupling as it draws near the center of the pick-up tool. Once you grab it then just pull back without rotating.
This is the round Wire Corkscrews for 2" pipe for the "B" Plumbers Lateral rods.
Each of these corkscrews are 6' long also and made of 1/4" spring steel.
They connect right up to your "B" rods with round couplings and are nice starting and cleaning tool. The front angular point bores through stoppages and will grab and hold roots, rags and paper products while pulling them back to the clean out.
This is the Root Cutter for 3" pipe for the "B" Plumbers Lateral rods. The Root cutter is 6' long also and made of 1/4" spring steel.
It connects right up to your "B" rods with round couplings and is an aggressive cutting tool with flat spiral steel blades with cutting edges on the front and back so they cut in both direction. The front angular point bores through stoppages and the cone shape will grab and holds roots, rags and paper products while pulling them back to the clean out.
This is a great tool for punching through hard deposits to regain flow.
The spear head is made of Hard 4130 steel and heat treated to 55 rockwell on the "C" scale.
Diameter is 1 7/8"
This is a nice tool when a very flexible end cleaning tool is needed. Since we coil this tool into a 2" round wire type corkscrew and the coiling is about 12" long well then you know how flexible this is.
Great for bends and sweeps and curves where you might not know how the pipe bends. Made of high strength spring steel.
Slightly oily for corrosion protection.
